Ozone

Ozone could be an environmental protest, I guess, except that I have no desire to protest anything at this time.
The picture began as a symbol representing a blast-off which is the power surge that pushes into being a new direction and a new purpose. A birth could be symbolized as a “blast-off”. After the blast-off, existence becomes a series of diversions, repeatedly diverting us from the original direction or purpose for or in which we were pointed.
Here we see an abstract composition, set down to mean whatever we want it to mean. Quite often I don’t even have a meaning in mind when I’ve finished a composition.
Like a cloud of gasses, the reverse imaged undisciplined mass moves across the face of the composition. I thought of it as ozone, perhaps smog or maybe it’s evil. When I first saw the image of an averted blast-off, I had a moment of sadness for those lost in space.
Sit and contemplate. If you are disturbed, move to another image. When you find an image that permits you to contemplate in peace, stay with it for a while. Let it catalyze your mind for whatever purpose. You will go away a changed person, perhaps imperceptibly, but nevertheless changed.
