Nightscape

Even the title does nothing for me. This was an attempt to do a negative image night scene and I suppose, if your couch is the right color could be considered a success. Again, I drift into Design Realism with no particular message to send and the design could stand improvement.
When I painted Bayou or as someone later called it Cajun Fishing Camp, I discovered a small living creature seeking sanctuary in the hollow of the base of the tree. This led to a series of Sanctuaries and Nightscape is one of those.
The colors are unusual, but the design and composition leaves a lot to be desired. The textures are strong and I especially like the tree bark. I just wish I could remember how I did that.
