Fall

Fall is a very simple image with no subliminal message and no undertones of intrigue.   This might just be the painting you could use over the sofa, if the colors are right for your living room.  I'm sure the thought of Palo Duro Canyon passed through my mind as I painted this image.  I went sketching there in 1952 and was impressed with the texture and design of gnarled cedar and juniper.  A little bit of Georgia O'Keefe rubbed off on me during that trip.
